Chesta House Prince ditches RTE Records

By Jeoffrey Mukubi

In a twist of unlikely events, Chesta House Prince has called it quits with the fairly new Remember the Eagle Record label, run by Ennio Hamutenya.

The Slaughterhouse native announced his decision on social media earlier this morning posting “I will no longer be a part of RTE records due to unforeseen circumstances, I am moving on as an Independent artist and brand. Thank You,” Chesta said that it was a difficult decision but it was also the best decision for his career and future.

This comes after “Soek Soek” maestro DJ Spuzza took to his Instagram story last month, writing “Signing to this label might have been the worst decision on my motherf&*&^%ing life, pray for Slaughterhouse”

It is still unclear what the reasons are for the abrupt decision to leave the label. RTE Records has built its reputation on course to export and expose local talent to Africa and the rest of the world.
