Former Miss Namibia Chelsi Shikongo has fired back at her former partner Kelvin Bellwood after he accused her of cheating and being involved in a paternity scandal.
The allegations, which were made in a local weekly publication, caused a stir on social media with some fans supporting Bellwood and others defending Shikongo’s character.

On Thursday, lawyer Norman Tjombe released a letter on behalf of Shikongo, addressing Bellwood’s remarks as defamatory and damaging to Shikongo’s reputation. The letter demanded that Bellwood remove his accusations from his social media accounts and issue a public apology. Failure to comply would result in a defamation lawsuit and court interdict.
Shikongo, who is a former Miss Namibia and radio show presenter, has previously modeled since the age of 15 and had worked with Bellwood, the program manager at 99FM, in 2022.
