A fashion model Rahab Inghalwa, will represent Namibia at the Miss Global Beauty pageant on September 12 in Bali, Indonesia. This will be her first beauty pageant since she has only been in high fashion for a few years.
“In Indonesia, I will serve my lovely country and its culture. This is a huge stage for me, and I’m thrilled to be back on it after the pandemic,” she said.
The model, who also owns the Ravenda Posh fashion line, said the pandemic presented her with several obstacles, as her modeling career was put on hold.
“The modelling industry was impacted by the pandemic because there were no modelling jobs available. I couldn’t go on business trips,” the 28-year-old explained. Despite the fact that the pandemic had an effect on her modelling, Rahab was able to keep her Ravenda Posh running as many people went digital.
Inghalwa established the Worthy Youth Foundation in 2020 as a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting quality education and youth empowerment. The model said that if she wins Miss Global, she plans to continue campaigning for quality education, climate change, and youth empowerment not just in her home country but around the world.
Inghalwa said that as a model, she has learned a lot since she has traveled to places she could only dream of visiting.
“I made a lot of friends and it made me grow personally and professionally. I got opportunities and life lessons which I am grateful for,” she says.
The model is currently working on her latest beauty line, Posh Beauty, which will be released in a month. “It has been a difficult time for me, but I have managed to transform it into a positive experience,” she concluded.
