12 finalists chosen, gala dinner and pageant date announced.
Embracing women in their difference sizes and shapes is one of the best things we have achieved in a while and Namibia keeps pushing such boundaries and norms. The Miss Plus Size Namibia is back again, same agenda but this time, different models, entertainment and a new approach too.
Founded by Margo Ruski in 2018 the pageant focuses mainly on the elimination of body-shaming on curvy women through the celebration of body diversity and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
This year the organizers are going big and will also be giving back to two schools through donations.
“As the only pageant for curvy women in Namibia, MPSN takes great pride in its contribution and commitment in the development of our nation and as part of our commitment to socio and economic development, MSPN will be giving back to those that are less fortunate than us through donation,” said Margo.
The 2019 event was officially launched at Nimms restaurant in Windhoek with the 12 finalists announced. This year’s theme is women empowerment because it is, according to the founder imperative to educate and emancipate women.
The grand finale will take place on 22 June at the Khomas regional council. As part of the preparations for the MSPN grand finale, the organizers will be hosting a Gala dinner on 30 April which will be graced by renowned speakers and innovative presentation from the contestants. Tickets to the gala dinner are going for N$ 1000 per person and a table of ten for ten thousand.
Tickets to the second annual MSPN are available countrywide at webtickets at all Pick N Pay stores, a normal ticket will cost you N$300 and VIP 550 only. You can also catch Sunny Boy performing on the night. How sweet!
