New Music Show “The Vault” to Showcase Namibian Talent

In an exciting development for the Namibian music scene, a new radio show titled “The Vault” is set to air every Wednesday from 20h00 to 21h00.

Sponsored by local partner Hannes and Eve, a subsidiary company of Yango, the show aims to spotlight Namibian talent and promote the country’s rich musical heritage and culture.Don Kamati, the head of production for the show, expressed his enthusiasm, describing “The Vault” as a movement that goes beyond just music. “Music does not only carry sound.

Music carries heritage, it carries culture,” Kamati stated. “Now, what is the youth without heritage and culture? So it is up to us to make sure that we do this thing, this beautiful thing that we have created. We have to keep it and we have to maintain it.”Acknowledging the support received from Hannes and Eve, Kamati extended his gratitude, recognizing the challenges in presenting innovative ideas. “I wanna say thank you for Ms. Eve for, for getting on board,” he remarked. “It wasn’t an easy thing, you know, coming out with all these ideas and presenting it to you guys.”Kamati also credited the Focus FM team and management for their role in bringing “The Vault” to fruition.

“Let the music move, let the music, let’s take Namibian music to the world,” he declared. “Let’s not package this sound for us. Let’s take it, let’s put, let’s put Don Kamati music on the same shelf as Burna Boy. Let’s take Ava’s music to S.A. Let’s take page ethnics to the next level.”Highlighting the personal significance of the initiative, Kamati emphasized the challenges faced by creatives in Namibia due to limited support from organizations like Nascam and corporates. “For me, I applaud Hannes and Eve, the Yango partners, for accepting this initiative,” he stated.

“The Vault” poised to become a platform for showcasing Namibian talent, music enthusiasts can look forward to discovering and celebrating the diverse sounds and voices of the nation. Tune in every Wednesday from 20h00 to 21h00 to join the movement and experience the best of Namibian music on airwaves.
