IPC spokesperson Imms Nashinge will have to cough up N$60 000 in damages to Beata Sekerete known as Betty Davids, paid in monthly instalments of N$2 000, after he called her a prostitute early this year.
Davids dragged Nashinge to court after he said on a WhatsApp group called Global Africa Unite, “you see the type of shit I talk about? Who is Betty Davids? A kid that is known for sleeping around with older men like Paul Shipoke, is the toe of people our government promotes. Next is Kaxuxwena. Normal people do not matter in this country. This is an indication that the useless investment nonsense in the presidency will be a serious flow. That Nangula woman will regret leaving PWC. We cannot be using state institutions to promote prostitutes please.”
According to court documents filed tho afternoon, Nashinge acknowledge that this statement was defamatory and hurtful.
He also apologised unconditionally and unreservedly for these remarks n addition to paying N$60 000 in damages.
He also agreed to post, within two days this agreement between him and Davids on the same WhatsApp group where he has made the initial remarks.
Davids who initially demanded N$400 000 agreed to the new settlement.
