Despite the Namibian music industry is a cutthroat one that takes a lot for many to survive Johannes Muyambango AKA “kidkid97” a student at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) is determined to conquer.


Born and raised in the small village of Mururani in the Okavango West region, his love for music began to sprout at the age of 13 when he started performing at school shows.
“When I would perform I realised my peers loved my performances and I gained fans, this made me realise music is something I would like to pursue,” he said.
The versatile musician is trying his luck in different genres, from Afro-pop to Dancehall and Kwaito.


“I love music and I will never give up on it, and I will keep pushing even though I don’t have a manager,” he said.


He told unwrap.online that he is currently working on his first album titled “Afro PoP’n” which he is excited about as his music will finally be out there.
He is set to release single titled from the album called Never let you go ft. Vikta Juiceboy
The budding artist said he draws inspiration from American rapper and businessman Jay Z and King Tee Dee .
