From hosting her first show to graduating in medicine and scooping a great internship opportunity with the office of the First Lady, Esperance has set her mark to go international.
The year 2019 has been a phenomenal year for Esperance. Having performed for numerous events around the country, breaking international borders came as a highly welcome reward to the spoken word artist. Esperance is currently set to perform in Zimbabwe for the youth Summit 2019. The SDG YOUTH Summit is the annual sustainable development goals summit that takes place annually in Harare Zimbabwe.
The theme is Youth As Drivers of Sustainable Development and one key expected outcome is an increased awareness of the SDGs as well as enhanced synergies and coordination of youth-related activities on the SDGs at the national level. The Summit will take place under three specific SDG thematic areas; SDG 8, 4 & 16 with issues of Gender, Climate Change, and Technology & Innovation as cross-cutting areas.
In Zambia, The Women’s Summit celebrates the doers and is a source of inspiration and support that connects and empowers women not only in Zambia but the wider mother Continent. It helps women realize their potential and reach new heights through connecting and listening to stories of other women who have gone beyond the call of duty in the quest to thrive and succeed in today’s competitive and increasingly patriarchal world. The summit is set to take place at the government complex in Lusaka Zambia and will see hundreds of inspirational women take the stage to change and transform the lives of women from all across Africa. Esperance is excited to start her international journey and sees this as the beginning of greater things.
