From Windhoek to Gobabis and now to Otjiwarongo.
The Start-up Festival hosted in Windhoek and Gobabis last year was a tremendous success, where local entrepreneurs were linked to local and international partners. Thus, the Financial Literacy Initiative (FLI) aims to host another Micro Business Start-up Festival in Otjiwarongo on 30 March 2019 to support efforts in improving the informal economy.
The Namibia Start-up Festival is an initiative of the FLI focused on inspiring, growing and celebrating start-ups in Namibia. In the local context of Otjiwarongo, the organizers aim to tap into the existing culture of resourcefulness and entrepreneurship among community members of the town.
The festival gathers key speakers on selected topics related to business skills and entrepreneurship, business and personal finances as well as leveraging local heroes to share their stories of success. The festival’s atmosphere allows participants to exchange ideas through a platform that can inspire, invigorate and educate community members to start a business or scale up their existing work.
