Namibian-born actress Zenobia Kloppers is set for an unusual career moment, with two international films premiering on the same day, Friday, 17 April 2026.
Kloppers appears in 180, a South African crime thriller released on Netflix, and HIVE, a socially driven horror-thriller streaming on Tubi. The dual release places her on two major platforms at once, highlighting her growing presence in international productions.
In 180, Kloppers plays Grace in a story that follows a reformed gangster whose life spirals after a violent road rage incident leaves his son critically injured. The film explores themes of grief, revenge and consequence. The cast includes Prince Grootboom, Warren Masemola and Fana Mokoena.
On the other end of the spectrum, HIVE sees her take on the role of Frances in a tense psychological horror story centred on a teenage babysitter who begins to suspect something sinister among the children she is watching. The film stars Xochitl Gomez and Aaron Dominguez.
The two roles show Kloppers working across very different genres — from crime drama to psychological horror — something she says reflects the kind of work she wants to be part of.
“This moment feels both surreal and deeply meaningful. Each role asked something different of me, and it speaks to the kind of work I’m passionate about — stories that challenge and connect across different audiences,” she said.
She added that being part of two international releases on the same day is not something she takes lightly. “I value the opportunity to keep growing and exploring as an actor, and to work alongside such committed teams on both projects. I look forward to audiences experiencing these stories.”
The double premiere marks another step in Kloppers’ steady rise, following appearances in productions such as The Wheel of Time and Fiela se Kind.
Her work continues to position her as one of the Namibian actors building a footprint beyond the local industry. Both 180 and HIVE are now available to stream.
