I’ve not stopped music and don’t intend on doing so ever – Shishani.

We all know that Shishani has more than proven her worth as not just a singer but as a songwriter who can dig deep in her words.
Her refreshing voice which undoubtedly fit soulful jazz with its stunning tone remains amusing to listen to, full of love and sincerity.
Who wouldn’t miss that?

Well, Shishani might not be visible on the local music stage but she remains consistent and focused on her music drive.
Singer and songwriter Shishani, says, she might have been silent in Namibia but that’s because she has been on tour and doing collaborations in Europe.

Shishani said she has been dashing out her music online and lingers to hold the Namibian flag high abroad. As for abandoning music, it’s never.

“I’ve not stopped music and don’t intend on doing so, ever. The truth is I’ve been based abroad the past couple of years and didn’t have the chance to be home as much as I used to before. I guess people didn’t see me in the media that much, but I’ve been sharing my work nonetheless,” she said.

Getting ready for the show @meta.den This Saturday 31 Aug 8 PM! Bought myself a new baby for the occasion. #new #baby…

The talented singer-songwriter, who is currently based in Amsterdam, said that since her last album Session in Poland came out in 2015, she has been working on her music full time in the Netherlands. That same year, Shishani and her team started the group Namibian Tales – an acoustic quartet based in Amsterdam – focusing on musical heritage from Namibia.

The group recorded two albums, of which the second album was recorded in Namibia and both won Best World Music Album in the Netherlands in 2016 and 2017. The group worked with four San ladies from //xao /oba (close to Tsumkwe), recorded music videos and a beautiful live album called “Kalahari Encounters” in Windhoek.
