The homegrown sounds of LocoSounds continue sparking with the recent offering which holds light upon completion of their third album titled Call me jubal due for release in October.
LocoSounds have been making waves in the music industry ever since the release of their single (Namene Ponathinge) in 2019. Made of the duo Nghelo Ya M’kwamani and Phillz-K LocoSounds has been in existence since 2017.
According to the duo, listening to various artists made them to fall in love with the art of flowing from genre to genre. “We have tried out different genres and have come to a realisation that we are average in every genre we tried,” they said.
To date the duo has released two albums Locomotive Knights and I am the Unpolished Diamond, which gave off sparks with the two most loved singles Namene Ponathinge and Iipindi. On YouTube the music videos of the two singles have picked up good numbers with Iipindi garnering about 430K while Namene has up to 380k views.
So far LocoSounds has proven to have an exceptional year with an unarguable growing visibility. “As we know our local market is one of the limiting factors in the music industry. Our goal is to have the ability of creating continental and worldwide sounds without losing our local taste,” they concluded.
