Mega and Meneer Cee butt heads over Pikkewyne

Namibian rapper Mega Slaughterhouse and South African Afrikaans amapiano artist Dalmaine Cochrane Junior, better known as Meneer Cee have set the internet ablaze this morning over the Pikkewyne song’s remix. l
This comes after Mega wrote on social media that the South African artist has been ignoring his texts and calls after dropping the remix of the song unauthorised.
“For the longest time, you have been ignoring my calls and running off bookings with my song, I have been letting it slide but you are pushing and dragging it far that you are claiming my song in SA, generally blocking me from getting gigs and stuff. You started seeing my song taking off and you called me and told me club owners in SA scam people and that i must talk to anyone,” Mega wrote.
He went on to say that his song was dropped on Youtube and Apple music without his knowledge.
Meneer Cee than responded saying, “If we are going to make statements than let us have proof, please! From day one i have made it clear on where this song stems from Namibia and made sure to always put your name first, unlike other people’s remixes.”
The South African artist further said the remix is the first song to break it into the South African market.
Meneer Cee’s response angered a lot of Namibians with a few attempting to block him from ever performing in the country.
In May this year, Meneer Cee was in Namibia on a tour which aimed at bridging the gap of cultural differences by bringing South African flavour to Namibia.
Speaking to Mega Slaughterhouse, the artist told Unwrap online that he got tired of sending messages to the South African musician which never gets a response.
He said he went as far as contacting his manager, but no feedback was received to date.
“My manager had sent the files to them and when i saw that they had made a remix and had not gotten my permission to released it, i flipped, at first i didn’t care about it, but these people are making money from our music. At first i asked them to at least correct the way my name is written but no one did anything about it,” he added.
According to Mega, all he wants is recognition for his hard work.
“I was just being told to get my passport ready, i am happy that my Namibian people are behind me fighting this battle with me, i never felt so supported in such a long time. Meneer Mcee has not released a hit track in a long time and mow wants to use my song for his own elevation,” he stressed.
Meanwhile Meneer Cee further accused Mega of being dry.
