In the face of COVID-19, gospel music has brought solace to the bereaved, encouragement to the struggling and hope to pandemic survivors.
Award winning gospel artist Effy Sanyime, released a new single titled “ God’s Favorite Son” featuring Ann-Singer and Author.
“This is quite a personal song as I expressed my life journey over the past 5 years, the depression and everything i was going through ” he said.
Effy started doing music profesionally in 2007, and released his first debut album in 2011. His music stems from contemporary gospel music (Gospel Hip-Hop) specifically aimed at transforming the minds of this current generation through a language and culture they understand which is Hip-Hop.
Speaking to UnWrap.online, Effy, said that he is currently in studio working on his upcoming album due for release in August.
“I have worked with Jericho, Kp Illest, D-naff and many other gospel acts,” he said
In 2012 he won an award in the category best gospel at the Namas and in 2017 and 2018
The same years he perforfomed at the Namas and In 2017 he performed with an American based hip hop legend Da Truth.
